1.  PETER1 BISCONER was born October 5, 1812 in Chartres, Paris, France, and died January 19, 1836 in New York.  He married MARY RUTH ALFORD 1834 in Clinton County, NY, daughter of ASHLEY ALFORD and ELIZABETH BAKER.  She was born August 16, 1816 in Ferrisburgh, Addison County, Vermont, and died January 11, 1904 in Elgin, Union County, Oregon.

“Death of Grandma Thompson”

The death of Mary R. Thompson, commonly called Grandma Thompson, occurred in this city Monday, January 11, 1904. She has been a resident of this section for many years, and was loved and respected by everybody. Deceased was born in the state of Vermont, August 16, 1816, and died January 11, 1904, aged 87 years, 4 months, and 25 days. In early childhood she removed with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Alford, to Clinton County, New York. At the age of 18, she was married to Peter Bisconer, who was accidentally killed by a tree falling on him while at work in the woods. To this union was born one son, Wesley, who resides in Vancouver, Washington. At the age of 20, she was married to William Thompson, to this union was born eleven children, four of whom survive. Andy and S.S. Thompson of this city, Mrs. Huldah Gargrave and Maggie Thompson, of Yorkville, Illinois. She had 37 grandhildren, 41 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. In 1865, she removed with her family from New York to Illinois living there until the death of her husband, which occurred in 1882. Two years later, she removed to Oregon, where she has since resided. At age 17 she united with the M.B. church, being a faithful member about 70 years, or until the time of her death. The funeral services were conducted in the M.B. Church, Tuesday, by Rev. J.H. Ross and the interment took place in the city cemetery.

2.  JOHN WESLEY2 BISCONER (PETER1) was born August 17, 1835 in Peaseleeville, Clinton County, New York, and died July 26, 1913 in Dundee, Yamhill County, OR.  He married (1) SARAH ELIZABETH ENGLISH October 24, 1858 in Minonk, Woodford County, IL.  She was born August 8, 1832 in Minonk, Woodford County, Illinois, and died November 26, 1890 in Elgin, Oregon.  He married (2) HARRIET AMELIA FOOTE December 23, 1906 in LaFayette, Yahmill County, Oregon, daughter of DANIEL FOOTE and G. SELFRAG.  She was born January 18, 1829 in New York, and died April 27, 1921 in Dundee, Yamhill County, OR.

3.  IRISSA AGNES3 BISCONER (JOHN WESLEY2, PETER1) was born October 18, 1861 in Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, and died April 22, 1929 in Cottage Grove, Oregon.  She married JOSEPH HENRY CONE September 30, 1880 in Beloit, Mitchell County, KS, son of DAVID CONE and HARRIET CUTLER.  He was born November 18, 1859 in Menasha, Winnebago County, Wisconsin, and died March 5, 1924 in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

 

JOSEPH HENRY CONE owned and operated the Cone Brothers Lumber Company, Gresham, OR

1900 Census lists his employment as Sawmill Proprietor.

1910 Census lists employment as Real Estate Agent in Multnomah County OR

CHARLES ERNEST BISCONER:

Farm Laborer in 1880, per census. Alt birthdate May 5, 1862. In June 1894, moved to Tillamook, OR and, with wife Mamie, founded the Tillamook Cheese Company.

 

Notes for MARY ALAMEDA "MAMIE" JONES:

Nickname Mamie. Daniel Carpenter reports that she was born in Oregon. 1902 studied for the ministry in Tillamook, OR. 1905 She and Charles sold the Tillamook ranch and cheese company to a Portland attorney and a cousin of Charles. She and Charles then moved to Tulare, California, where she bacame the pastor of her own church. She and Charles also ranched in the Tulare area. B of A used Charles and his ranch to advertise loans.

5.  FREDERICK HOWARD3 BISCONER (JOHN WESLEY2, PETER1) was born June 29, 1872 in Kansas, and died January 4, 1924 in Riparia Canyon, Whitman County, Washington.  He married JESSIE JENETTE SCHOONMAKER July 5, 1902 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, daughter of MARK SCHOONMAKER and LEVINIA SMITH.  She was born March 12, 1878 in Youngstown, Niagara County, NY, and died December 27, 1966 in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington.
